ZA PRAXIS ORTHOSPACE
Atelier Anjora
For the orthodontic practice Orthospace in Berlin-Lichterfelde, we developed a young, contemporary spatial concept that conveys openness and a welcoming atmosphere, intentionally tailored to a younger audience. The aim was to combine medical functionality with a warm, modern interior while creating a clear and distinctive design language.
The material concept is based on a reduced yet high-quality selection of stainless steel, solid surface materials and textiles. This is complemented by a natural color palette of greens and beige tones, which runs consistently throughout the practice and creates a calm, balanced environment.
The spatial structure is defined by a ribbed glass partition that separates the different areas of the practice. It allows for transparency and openness while maintaining the necessary level of privacy and enabling natural light to penetrate deep into the interior. This creates a harmonious balance between openness and retreat.
In addition to two enclosed private treatment rooms, the practice features a spacious open treatment area. Here, individual treatment chairs are separated by textile curtains that provide visual and acoustic screening while introducing softness and warmth to the space.
The reception desk forms the central design element of the practice. Crafted from stainless steel, it acts as a visual focal point and strongly defines the character of the interior. Custom-built stainless steel elements for the wardrobe and coffee station further reinforce the cohesive and clearly defined material language.
At the heart of the practice is a multifunctional central cube housing the reception area, patient restrooms and technical rooms. Surrounding built-in cabinetry offers smart storage solutions and, finished in a light sage tone, integrates subtly into the overall concept.
