Modern interior design for practices and clinics

Modern interior design for practices and clinics
Healthcare interiors do not have to be purely functional. Practices and clinics offer clear opportunities to create spaces that feel calm, welcoming and well considered, without compromising on efficiency or professional standards.
We completed the orthodontic practice Orthospace (link) and are currently designing a new dentist’s practice, applying the same approach to balance function and atmosphere in public healthcare spaces. These projects show how interior design can add value to everyday clinical environments, turning them into spaces that feel composed, human and intentional.

Insights from Praxis Orthospace
In the Orthospace project, we designed an interior that combines clarity, warmth and precision. Transparency plays a central role, with glass elements that allow light to flow through the space while maintaining privacy where needed. The material palette blends refined surfaces with softer textures, creating a professional yet welcoming atmosphere.
Trends in modern practice and clinic design
Across public healthcare interiors, several design trends stand out:
- Spaces are becoming more open and fluid, reducing barriers and improving orientation
- Waiting areas are designed as comfortable, lounge like environments rather than traditional waiting rooms.
- Material choices focus on durability, hygiene and sustainability without sacrificing warmth or aesthetics.
- Natural light and biophilic elements are increasingly used to support wellbeing.
These trends reflect a broader shift in interior design for public spaces, where experience and identity are as important as function.
